28 mile training ride today and it started rain around mile 15. I was a bit chilled and I heard thunder in the distance, so I called Mona for a ride. My bike performed well in the rain, but I was definitely hydro-planing at times. I filled my panniers up with MREs so I carried plenty of weight and still managed to go under two hours.
I will probably do this route again at some point, as I was actually hoping to get to Cincinnati.

I challenge your authority ...
ReplyDeleteHi Ray,
ReplyDeleteI think the verb was "usurp"
Do you think Barb is usurping Dan?
Hi Tyler,
Good call - Lightning hurts real bad!!
And 15mph in the rain?!? That sounds dangerous. Stay safe and enjoy the ride.
Dan Miller
Ray -
ReplyDeleteMy brother is right - the correct phrase was:
"I USURP YOUR authority."
...I never got usurped before, it was fun when you did it to me. Thanks. Have you done much usurping since that time? You were very good at it. I was thinking of taking a usurping class so I could learn, but Jodi usurped my decision to do so...
I am (sadly) just 'surped' at this time; oh well...
Keep on truckin' and usurpin' - we wish you a safe trip!!!
Dave Miller
that cold rainy day was definitely one of my finer moments, wasn't it ... :-(
ReplyDeletei've tried not to usurp much in the last 20 years
Ray - aw, c'mon... you have improved your usurpment skills. Don't be down about it, buddy! I still LOVE YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteAnything that you can teach me would be greatly appreciated...
Seriously, Pop and I (and Jodi) are expecting the best from your endeavours....
